HFE Welcomes PV Sindhu:

India is at a critical stage of development and has an opportunity to build a bigger, cleaner, more energy secure and future ready economy, Rahul Munjal, Founder and Chairman, Hero Future Energies, said.

He compared sport to clean energy, both of which need big goals and a long-term commitment. Sindhu has been an important part of scripting India’s sporting story and HFE is involved in building the energy bedrock for the next phase of growth for the country', Munjal said.

“I believe that India’s performance on the world stage is just the beginning and clean energy will be a key factor in the nation’s future growth,” PV Sindhu said.

“I’m proud to be partnering with HFE and to be part of the country’s clean energy journey,” she said.

From Sporting Excellence to Clean Energy:

PV Sindhu is one of India's most recognisable sporting icons, a two-time Olympic medallist and the 2019 World Champion. Her performances have strengthened India’s stature on the world sporting platform and inspired young Indians to strive for excellence.

HFE, in contrast, has been in the Indian renewable energy sector for 14 years. The company has established a portfolio of 7.7 GWp of renewable energy assets and 2.9 GWh of battery energy storage capacity, including operational and under-development projects.

Now that HFE is entering its next growth phase, it is ramping up its participation in complex renewable energy projects, which include Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and Round-the-Clock (RTC) power.

The company is also building a more diversified portfolio in emerging sectors like energy storage and green hydrogen.

“HFE’s expanded portfolio is intended to support India’s growing energy demands and to contribute to the country’s path toward a cleaner and more energy-secure future,” it said.
