Mia by Tanishq Celebrates Rakhi With ‘Make Your Sister Cry’ Campaign
Mia by Tanishq’s Rakhi campaign, ‘Make Your Sister Cry’, celebrates sibling love with humour, emotion and thoughtful jewellery gifting.
Mia by Tanishq has launched its latest Rakshabandhan campaign, “Make Your Sister Cry,” playfully exploring the age-old bond between siblings.
The campaign flips the script on the usual sibling teasing, mischief and childhood squabbles. This campaign encourages brothers to make their sisters cry with happiness instead of irritating them on Rakhi by showing a thoughtful gesture of love.

Turning Sibling Banter Into an Emotional Moment:
At the heart of the campaign is a digital film showing a typical sibling exchange. The film opens with a light hearted tussle between a brother trying to escape the onslaught of pillows, books and water bottles from his sister.
He surprises her with a gift from Mia by Tanishq and the mood changes. She smiles playfully, but when she opens the box and sees a pendant, her expression turns to real emotion.
The film uses the iconic Kishore Kumar song “Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka, Sabka Kehna Hai” to add a nostalgic and cultural touch to the story. The song strengthens the love and emotional bond with siblings.
The campaign closes with the message: “Gifts so precious they will bring tears of joy.”

‘Jewellery Is a Medium to Make Everyday Emotions Special’
Ajay Maurya, Head of Marketing and Category, Mia by Tanishq said: “Siblings generally express their love thru teasing, fighting and just being around each other rather than saying ‘I love you’ directly.
The brand wanted to celebrate that unspoken affection with a playful twist. They wanted to turn everyday sibling mischief into an emotional moment with “Make Your Sister Cry.”
“Mia thinks of jewellery as a way to make everyday feelings special and the Rakhi campaign allows a gift to convey feelings that siblings may not always be able to put into words,” Maurya said.
