Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Set For Comeback, Alia Bhatt And Sharvari Spotted On Set
Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent appears set for a comeback after controversy, with viral photos showing Alia Bhatt and Sharvari on the show’s set.
Samay Raina’s controversial comedy talent show India's Got Latent appears to be making a comeback months after being taken down following legal controversy and public backlash.
The latest buzz surrounding the show began after a picture from what appeared to be a new shoot surfaced online and quickly went viral across social media platforms.
Viral Set Photo:
The leaked image showed actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari seated as part of the judging panel, leading fans to speculate that the duo may appear on the show to promote their upcoming spy thriller Alpha.
While several fans expressed excitement about the return of the show, others questioned whether the leaked image was genuine, with some social media users claiming it could have been AI-generated.
Internet users also noticed symbolic details in the set design, including a “nimbu-mirchi” charm- commonly associated with warding off the evil eye- along with handcuffs placed on the show’s logo, which many interpreted as a reference to the controversy surrounding the programme earlier this year.

Show Faces Backlash:
India’s Got Latent first gained popularity after launching on YouTube in 2024, combining stand-up comedy, audience participation and unconventional talent performances.
However, the show later became embroiled in controversy after podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia appeared as a guest judge on one of the episodes in 2025.
During the episode, Allahbadia asked a contestant an explicit and controversial question that triggered widespread backlash online and prompted complaints accusing the show of promoting obscenity and offensive language.
Following the uproar, complaints were reportedly submitted to the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the National Commission for Women.
An FIR was subsequently lodged against Ranveer Allahbadia, content creator Apoorva Makhija and Samay Raina.
Amid the controversy, Raina eventually removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube.
The show’s possible return has now reignited discussion online, with fans debating whether the programme will continue in its earlier format or adopt a more moderated approach following the legal scrutiny it faced.
The viral response also reflects how controversy-driven digital entertainment formats continue to maintain strong audience interest even after facing regulatory and public criticism.
For creators and platforms, the situation highlights the growing tension between edgy internet comedy, audience engagement and evolving standards around online content regulation in India.
