Adobe Acquires Peak XV-Backed Rilo to Accelerate Agentic AI for Marketers
Adobe expands its agentic AI ecosystem by acquiring Peak XV-backed Indian AI startup Rilo to streamline automated marketing and go-to-market workflows.
Adobe has completed the acquisition of Indian AI workflow automation startup Rilo, reinforcing its commitment to agentic AI and automated go-to-market solutions. The deal marks Adobe’s second major startup acquisition in India following its 2023 purchase of video creation platform Rephrase.ai.
Building "AI Employees" for Go-To-Market Teams
Founded in 2025 by IIT Bombay alumni Dhruv Jaglan and Georgi Boby, Rilo built an AI automation platform that translates natural-language instructions into execution-ready workflows. Backed by Peak XV Partners, DeVC, and Day Zero Ventures, the company reached a reported valuation of $10 million and scaled to over 10,000 users shortly after its launch.
While initially designed to broaden AI workflow access beyond engineering teams, Rilo’s platform quickly expanded to focus on marketing and sales operations. Its autonomous AI agents—described by the startup as "AI employees"—handle multi-tool tasks ranging from competitive intelligence, prospecting, and social media engagement across LinkedIn and Reddit to end-to-end campaign research.
Leadership & Integration into Adobe’s Vision
Following the deal, Rilo’s leadership team will transition into Adobe to help scale AI tools across enterprise accounts. Announcing the news on LinkedIn, co-founder and CEO Dhruv Jaglan stated that joining Adobe will help the team "bring AI to Fortune 500 marketers."
Co-founder Georgi Boby highlighted the alignment in vision, noting that the acquisition allows their goal of democratizing AI usage beyond technical roles to continue at global enterprise scale. Early investor Rahul Gupta, managing partner at Day Zero Ventures, added that Rilo's workflow builder will help Adobe drive measurable gains in enterprise productivity and customer experience.
Strengthening the Agentic AI Ecosystem
The acquisition arrives as Adobe intensifies its focus on enterprise automation to compete against platforms like Canva and foundation model providers like OpenAI and Anthropic. Following the April launch of Adobe CX Enterprise—an end-to-end agentic platform designed for full customer lifecycle management—Rilo’s workflow integration strengthens Adobe’s suite of automated tools for acquisition, engagement, and conversion.
