Godrej Consumer Products Raises Ad Spend 13% as Q1 FY27 Growth Accelerates
Godrej Consumer Products increased Q1 FY27 ad spends by 13% as revenue grew 19% and profit rose on strong business momentum.
Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) reported strong revenue and profit growth in Q1 FY27, driven by volume growth in key markets, and increased its advertising and publicity investments by 13% year-on-year.
The company’s advertising and publicity expenses stood at ₹305.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, as against ₹271.83 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The ad spend was also higher sequentially from ₹274.25 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
Consolidated revenue from operations of GCPL grew 19% YoY to ₹4,225.47 crore supported by 9% underlying volume growth. Consolidated EBITDA was up 14% and net profit rose 11% to ₹504.52 crore. The company said the growth was broad-based among businesses and geographies.

Brand Momentum:
GCPL standalone sales in India were up 12% led by 7% underlying volume growth. The company’s Indonesia business grew 15% and the Africa, USA and Middle East (GAUM) business grew 47% year-on-year, driven by strong category performance.
Commenting on the results, Sudhir Sitapati, Managing Director and CEO, Godrej Consumer Products said, "Q1 FY27 marked a strong beginning to the year with revenue growth, volume momentum and healthy earnings performance despite a challenging operating environment.
He said the company’s brands, categories and execution helped sustain growth momentum despite volatility in crude and commodity prices during the quarter due to higher input costs and geopolitical developments.

GCPL said its key “speed boat” brands such as Godrej Fab, GK Incense Sticks and Godrej Aer continued to perform well while emerging categories like toilet cleaners, body wash and face wash gained traction. In the quarter, the company also forayed into the liquid dishwash segment with the launch of Godrej Rizz.
The company highlighted a strong performance in its GAUM business, buoyed by increased media spend and growth in its FMCG portfolio. GCPL said media investment in the region has doubled, with momentum building in categories such as hair care, air fresheners and incense sticks.
