Premium Audio Push:
Prime Music will continue to provide access to more than 100 million songs and podcasts under the new structure. But the tier now has limited ads and doesn't have offline downloads, while still being bundled with Amazon Prime membership.
Amazon is also preparing to launch Amazon Music Free in India. The ad-supported tier will provide access to the full music catalogue but with limited features compared to paid tiers. The offering is aimed at users who want access to music without a subscription.
Amazon said Amazon Music Unlimited is for listeners who want better audio quality and more flexibility. It promises a better listening experience on compatible devices. Dolby Atmos and other spatial audio formats have been added.
Amazon is giving promotional access to the service to encourage adoption. Prime members get Amazon Music Unlimited free for six months, while non-Prime members get a three-month free trial before they’re charged for a subscription.

It is being launched at a time when competition is heating up in the music streaming market in India and platforms are focusing on pricing strategies, better audio experience and bundled services to attract users.
The new structure is designed to make consumer choice easier by clearly distinguishing between free, bundled and premium listening options, while expanding access to its global music catalogue in India, Amazon said.
