“India has one of the most vibrant sports cultures in the world and these partnerships allow us to connect with fans in a meaningful way,” said Jeremiah Yolkut, Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Events, Major League Baseball.
“Surya is one of the most recognised athletes in India, having the ability to connect with millions of fans across the country,” he added. We are building a strong foundation to further expand the reach of baseball across the country along with our renewed partnership with JioStar.

Grassroots Expansion:
One of the best things about sport is that it brings people together, no matter where they are from," said Yadav of his new role. “I’m excited to partner with Major League Baseball and be part of its journey in India. I’m looking forward to learning more about the game myself and helping more fans find the energy, excitement and culture that make baseball something special.”
The announcement follows MLB's partnership with RISE Worldwide, which supports the league's efforts to expand baseball-related initiatives in India through grassroots engagement and broader fan outreach.
