Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its partnership with Oracle with the launch of an Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Center of Excellence (CoE) in Kolkata, India’s first such facility, the company said.

The new centre at Kolkata’s Delta Park Lords is intended to help enterprises accelerate their AI adoption by addressing challenges around data management, analytics and automation.

According to TCS, the facility will support organisations seeking to overcome common barriers to AI implementation, including fragmented data environments, scalability limitations, operational inefficiencies and slow analytics processes.

The company said the centre will leverage industry-specific solutions, accelerators and reusable architectures to help businesses generate insights from enterprise data and deploy AI-driven automation more effectively.

The facility will provide customers access to Oracle’s AI, cloud and data technologies to enable experimentation, innovation and large-scale execution, TCS said.

Expansion Plans

As part of the initiative, TCS plans to set up four more Oracle AI Data Platform Labs and Centers of Excellence across India over the next three years.

The move is part of the company’s bigger investments in AI engineering, data platforms and advanced analytics capabilities.
