Nautika is preparing to launch “Nautika Pride”, a next-generation passenger vessel positioned as the largest, fastest and most luxurious ferry operating across the Andaman Islands.

According to the company, the new high-speed catamaran is designed to redefine inter-island maritime travel by combining advanced marine engineering, premium onboard hospitality and enhanced passenger comfort.

Built in India and certified by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), the 400-seat vessel is capable of cruising at speeds of up to 24 knots, making it one of the fastest passenger ferries introduced in the region.

Luxury Ferry Experience:

Nautika said the vessel has been developed around the idea that the travel experience should feel as memorable as the destination itself.

The ferry introduces more spacious seating layouts, upgraded interiors and hospitality-focused travel experiences across four separate categories- Luxury, Royal, VIP and Business Class.

According to the company, the ferry is designed to cater to different types of travellers, including honeymooners, families and leisure tourists visiting the islands.

The vessel has been built on a modern double-hull catamaran platform inspired by internationally trusted high-speed ferry designs.

Nautika said the dual-hull structure is intended to improve open-sea stability and provide passengers with a smoother and more comfortable travel experience while navigating the waters around the Andaman Islands.

With a cruising speed of 24 knots, Nautika Pride is also expected to improve travel efficiency between islands while increasing passenger confidence during sea crossings.

Safety Meets Luxury:

The company stated that the vessel’s engineering incorporates internationally compliant safety systems, structural integrity mechanisms and operational safeguards designed to minimise passenger discomfort and improve sailing reliability.

According to Nautika, the vessel has received approvals from globally recognised marine classification authorities, including the Indian Register of Shipping.

The ferry also includes evacuation protocols, fire safety systems and weather-monitoring procedures coordinated with maritime authorities and regional advisories.

Designed to accommodate 400 passengers, Nautika Pride also introduces hospitality-focused amenities rarely seen in India’s passenger ferry industry.

The vessel features two onboard cafés offering refreshments and curated snack options, along with two viewing decks designed to enhance the travel experience for passengers.

The launch reflects the growing focus on premium tourism infrastructure and experiential travel within the Andaman Islands as operators increasingly invest in luxury, speed and safety-driven maritime services.
