BMW India Announces Third Price Hike of 2026, Vehicles to Cost Up to 2% More from July
BMW Group India will increase prices of BMW and MINI vehicles by up to 2% from July 1, citing currency fluctuations and rising logistics costs.
BMW Group India has announced another round of price hikes for its BMW and MINI range, the third revision of 2026 by the luxury carmaker.
The company said vehicle prices will increase by up to 2% from July 1 for locally manufactured models and imported vehicles sold in the Indian market.
According to reports, the latest revision was to offset rising operational expenses, adverse currency movements and higher logistics costs which have inflated cost of vehicles and components, BMW Group India said.
The company has already revised prices in January and again in April this year, reflecting the mounting cost pressures facing luxury automobile makers.

Import Costs:
Exchange-rate volatility still affects companies that depend on imported vehicles, technology and components and industry observers say premium automakers are more often resorting to periodic price adjustments.
The latest hike is mainly because of the fall in value of the Indian rupee against the euro which has made it much more expensive for luxury car makers to import components and products from Europe.
As a result companies have been forced to pass some of the extra costs to consumers, but while trying to protect margins.
The development comes as the luxury automotive segment faces broader challenges, with manufacturers still dealing with high freight costs and supply chain costs.

Despite multiple pricing revisions industry-wide, demand for luxury vehicles in India has held up fairly well.
Consumer demand for premium sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles has continued to be a key driver of sales momentum, allowing manufacturers to take price increases without worrying about major demand pullback.
BMW’s India portfolio is a combination of locally assembled and imported vehicles across the conventional internal combustion, performance and electric mobility segments.
