Meta has introduced a new AI-powered creator assistant for Facebook that aims to assist creators in understanding content performance, audience behaviour and growth opportunities via a conversational interface.

According to reports, the new tool offers personalised recommendations based on a creator’s content style, performance metrics, audience engagement and growth goals, giving users access to insights without the need to navigate complex analytics dashboards.

Rather than having to comb through charts and reports, creators can ask the assistant questions like “When should I post?” or “What are the most common criticisms of my recent videos?” and get customised answers based on their historical performance data.

AI Expansion:

The assistant is meant to help users dig into audience trends further by asking follow-up questions, Meta said. For example, creators can enquire about changes in audience demographics over time, or get recommendations on how to improve performance of future content.

Meta is rolling out the feature to creators in the United States, Canada and India and plans to expand it more widely with additional features in the coming months.

The launch also bolsters Meta’s push to bake AI tools directly into its platforms, reducing the need for creators to rely on outside services to help them with things like content ideation, audience insights and performance insights.

Meta also said it will expand its AI-powered translation capabilities on Facebook, including more languages such as Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, French, Thai and Vietnamese, as well as the creator assistant.

The company said the enhanced translation system enables creators to make their content available to wider audiences while maintaining the original voice, tone and speaking style of the speaker.

There’s also an AI lip-syncing feature that syncs the translated audio to facial motions, giving creators the ability to provide a more natural viewing experience for audiences consuming content in different languages.

Creator Growth:

Meta first introduced AI-translated Reels last year, as part of its efforts to help creators reach global audiences across countries and languages.

More than 500 million Facebook users are now seeing AI-translated videos every week, the company said.

The latest announcements highlight Meta’s increasing emphasis on AI-powered creator tools as the competition between social media platforms to attract and retain creators with enhanced content creation, discovery and monetisation capabilities intensifies.
