Sapphire Foods Reshuffles Leadership Team; Vikrant Vohra To Head KFC Business
Sapphire Foods has announced key leadership changes, with Vikrant Vohra set to lead its KFC business following the resignation of Deepak Taluja.
Sapphire Foods India has announced a raft of senior leadership changes including the resignation of Deepak Taluja as President and Chief Executive Officer of its KFC business and new appointments across its KFC and Pizza Hut operations.
Taluja will depart his position at the end of the business day on July 24, 2026, the company said in a regulatory filing. He will stay with the club during the notice period and help with the transition process until he leaves.
Upon his departure, Vikrant Vohra will take over as President and Chief Executive Officer of the KFC business effective July 25, 2026, Story Board 18 reported.

Hospitality Veteran:
Vohra currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Foods’ Pizza Hut business and will remain a member of the company’s senior management team.
Vohra has more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked with leading hotel brands including The Park Hotels, Hyatt, Indian Hotels Company and Marriott International.
He was heading KFC operations across Karnataka, Kerala and western India before taking over the Pizza Hut business.
The company has also appointed Saurabh Girdhar as Assistant Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Pizza Hut business with effect from July 25, 2026.
Girdhar is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Pizza Hut business in Bangalore and Kerala.

Leadership Transition:
He brings with him over 17 years of experience in the quick service restaurant industry and has earlier worked with Yum India and Devyani International before joining Sapphire Foods.
I have been associated with Sapphire Foods for a decade and I thank the company leadership and employees for all the support,” Taluja said in his resignation letter.
Taluja, who said he would help with the leadership transition during his notice period, said: “I’ve had the privilege of serving this organisation for 10 years.
The leadership changes are part of Sapphire Foods’ continued effort to strengthen its management structure across its key quick-service restaurant brands, KFC and Pizza Hut, as it expands and competes in India’s rapidly growing food services market.
