KFC India Appoints Ex-Blinkit Executive Souradip Sarkar As Growth Head
KFC India has appointed former Blinkit executive Souradip Sarkar as Head of Growth & Market Planning.
KFC India has appointed Souradip Sarkar as Head – Growth & Market Planning for India to strengthen the company’s leadership team as the brand focuses on expansion and growth strategy.
Sarkar, in his Linkedin post, described his time at Blinkit as “very fulfilling” and said he is looking forward to beginning a new journey with KFC India.
After a very fulfilling career at Blinkit, I am delighted to join KFC India as Head - Growth & Market Planning,” said Sarkar.

Growth & Network Planning:
Prior to joining KFC India, Sarkar was with Blinkit for several years where he led multiple mandates across growth, expansion and network strategy functions.
His responsibilities included expansion planning, P&L design, network strategy, dark store expansion, operational readiness and supervision of growth in major urban markets.

Strategic Market Planning:
At Blinkit, he also worked on new business formats and special store expansion initiatives, working closely with the product, data science and technology teams on network mapping, project tracking tools and P&L simulators.
Sarkar also worked on launches and go-to-market strategies across metro cities like Mumbai and Kolkata.
Before Blinkit, Sarkar was with Rockwell Automation, where he was responsible for business growth, channel sales and strategic initiatives across various regions in India.
He also started and co-hosted, “The Banyan Tree,” a YouTube platform focusing on discussions about sports, business and literature.
The appointment underscores the growing importance of data-led growth planning and operational strategy as quick service restaurant brands accelerate growth, network optimisation and market penetration across India.
