Abhishek Jha Joins InMobi to Lead India Advertising Business
Abhishek Jha joins InMobi as Director – Head of Advertising, India, after a two-and-a-half-year stint at Snap Inc. He will lead the company’s advertising operations in a fast-growing digital ad market.
Abhishek Jha has moved from Snap Inc. to InMobi, taking on the role of Director – Head of Advertising, India, as the mobile advertising platform sharpens its focus on strengthening its domestic ad business.
Jha confirmed the move on LinkedIn, marking the end of a two-and-a-half-year stint at Snap Inc., where he served as Industry Manager – Streaming, Gaming & Technology. During his time at Snap, he worked closely with high-growth digital categories, navigating an environment he described as “intense” and “action-packed,” reflecting the competitive and fast-evolving nature of platform-led advertising.
At InMobi, Jha will lead advertising operations in India, a key market for the company. Founded in India and now operating globally, InMobi has built its reputation in mobile-first advertising, performance marketing and programmatic solutions. As brands continue to shift budgets toward measurable digital channels, leadership in ad sales and client partnerships becomes central to growth.
Jha brings with him a background spanning digital ad sales, marketing management, digital strategy and market research. Before Snap, he spent over four years at Meta, where he worked across digital sales and platform strategy during a period when social media advertising in India saw accelerated adoption across categories. His earlier experience also includes roles at HT Media Ltd and Snapdeal, giving him exposure to both publisher ecosystems and e-commerce-led marketing models.
The move comes at a time when India’s digital advertising market is expanding rapidly, driven by increased smartphone penetration, regional content growth and the rise of performance-led marketing mandates. Platforms are under pressure not only to deliver reach but also measurable outcomes, particularly in categories such as streaming, gaming and technology—segments Jha has previously handled.
For InMobi, appointing a leader with cross-platform experience signals intent to strengthen advertiser relationships and build integrated solutions that combine brand and performance objectives. The competitive landscape includes global tech giants, homegrown ad-tech players and retail media networks, all vying for a larger share of digital budgets.
Leadership transitions of this nature often reflect broader shifts in how companies are positioning themselves within India’s advertising ecosystem. With brands demanding deeper data insights, omnichannel alignment and accountable media spends, the role of a Head of Advertising extends beyond revenue targets to strategic market positioning.
Jha’s appointment underscores how talent movement across global tech platforms and ad-tech firms continues to shape India’s digital advertising narrative. As InMobi navigates an increasingly data-driven and competitive environment, leadership continuity and category expertise are likely to play a defining role in how the company scales its India operations.
