Lay’s Mini Stix has been launched by PepsiCo India as the brand enters the stick-format potato snack segment in India.

It’s the company’s new product, which combines the signature potato base of Lay’s with a savoury stick format and fusion-inspired masala flavours for Indian consumers.

The launch also introduces Lay’s first horizontal pack format in India, offering better portability and convenience for on-the-go snacking occasions.

Portable Snack Push:

Speaking about the launch, Saakshi Verma Menon said, “The company’s growth strategy is to understand changing consumer behaviour and evolving snacking habits.

“As the Indian snacking landscape evolves with faster lifestyles and a growing demand for on-the-go convenience, our responsibility as a leader in the potato chips snacking category is to drive that change, not just react to it,” Menon said.

Further adding, Menon said, “Lay’s Mini Stix is a strategic extension of our snack portfolio to capture newer consumption occasions and leveraging the existing equity of the Lay’s brand.

Product innovation was all about reimagining the familiar Lay’s flavors in a new texture and snacking experience,” said Aastha Bhasin.

“We wanted to take something people already love and make it better the Lay’s way with Lay’s Mini Stix,” Bhasin said.

The stick format delivers a "stronger crunch while keeping the familiar flavors that consumers already associate with the brand," she added.

The product will be launched initially across North, East and West India in ₹5 and ₹10 price packs, the company said.

“This launch is in response to the growing demand for portable, convenience-led snacking products in India, with FMCG brands experimenting with new formats, textures and regional flavour profiles to appeal to younger consumers.
