Nestlé India Appoints Golden Retrievers As Chief Happiness Officers
Nestlé India humorously appointed two golden retrievers as “Chief Happiness Officers” to spotlight workplace wellbeing and culture.
Nestlé India has come up with a unique way to promote workplace wellness by “appointing” two Golden Retrievers as its new Chief Happiness Officers. The move has gone viral on social media platforms.
The news was announced by Manish Tiwary on LinkedIn, who introduced the furry recruits in a humorous post describing their fictional onboarding process.
The dogs got the parts after a long “sniff-based interview process” with “high-level discussions” and “tail-wagging presentations,” Tiwary said.
Tiwary posted pictures of the duo, joking that the new recruits boast “16+ years combined experience in reducing stress, boosting morale & spreading smiles for no reason,” and “industry-leading performance in unconditional paw-sitivity.”

Paw-sitive Workplace Culture:
The post jokingly enumerated the dogs’ “official responsibilities” in the workplace, including “strategic cuddle consultations,” “random inspections of snack quality,” and sitting in the corner office.
At the same time, though, the doggie execs apparently came with some work demands of their own.
The post said the pair demanded “instant belly rubs, ear tickles and slobbery reciprocal-affection” and “treat-related lobbying and chonky paw-bumps in the lifts”.
“They’d already got the office politics down by “liking everybody equally,” and doing “wet nosed interferences and naughty side-eyes in meetings they were not invited to,” Tiwary added.
It was also joked in the announcement that “Who’s a good boy?” would temporarily be considered official positive feedback in the workplace.

Workplace Wellness Push:
The post struck a chord with many LinkedIn users, who praised the initiative for bringing humour and warmth to discussions around employee wellbeing and workplace culture.
Some commenters pointed out that pets can lower stress levels and improve morale in work environments with high stakes.
Tiwary ended the post by linking the fun announcement to Nestlé India’s larger philosophy towards workplace culture and employee happiness.
“At #NestléIndia we talk a lot about creating #happierworkplaces,” he wrote. “The Chief Happiness Officers taught us how it’s really done.
This viral post demonstrates how companies are increasingly using light-hearted and human-centric storytelling on professional platforms to improve employer branding and discussions around employee wellbeing.
