Women’s Cricket Monetisation:

Google's AI product Gemini will co-sponsor across the company's handheld, connected TV and linear TV platforms.

Handheld and linear television inventory has also signed on as an associate sponsor of Google Pay.

Havells will be a co-presenting sponsor for connected TV and linear TV platforms.

Meanwhile, Union Bank has secured an augmented reality (AR) integration deal across all platforms but the partnership is not classified as a formal sponsorship package.

BHIM has signed an FCT (free commercial time) advertising pact on linear television inventory.

Women’s Cricket Boom:

The deals come as broadcasters and streaming platforms continue to build out monetisation strategies for women’s cricket, which has seen rapid audience growth over recent international tournaments.

Industry data showed that the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 was the most watched women’s cricket tournament of all time with a combined reach of 446 million viewers, more than the combined reach of the last three tournaments.

The India v Pakistan match during the tournament became the most-watched women’s international cricket match in digital history, attracting 28.4 million viewers and generating 1.87 billion viewing minutes.

The match was also the highest rated league stage game in the history of the tournament on linear television.
