Clemenger BBDO Wins L’Oréal Group Account After Competitive Pitch

Clemenger BBDO has been chosen as the L’Oréal Group’s Agency Village, handling brand campaigns and social media for L’Oréal’s diverse portfolio of brands. The appointment follows a competitive four-stage tender involving multiple agencies from Australia and New Zealand, focusing on both strategic branding and social media capabilities.

The pitch process required agencies to demonstrate their expertise in brand strategy, creative, and social media engagement. Clemenger BBDO’s in-house team, Chemistry Set, played a significant role in their success, showcasing an earned media approach. L’Oréal's brand lineup includes well-known names like L’Oréal Masterbrand, Garnier, Maybelline, Nyx, Kiehl’s, La Roche-Posay, and Lancôme. The new partnership will involve a comprehensive scope, covering creative, digital, and social campaigns.

Rachel Taylor, L’Oréal Australia and New Zealand's Procurement Lead, commented on the pitch process, stating, “It was a rigorous selection with agencies evaluated on their ability to understand our category, brands, and target audiences. Clemenger BBDO stood out for their experience and capabilities, and we are excited about the partnership.”

Clemenger BBDO's in-house production company, MADE THIS, had already been collaborating with L’Oréal Group since 2023, enabling a seamless integration of campaign creation and production. The recent win further strengthens this relationship, promising greater efficiencies in future campaigns.

Dani Bassil, CEO of Clemenger BBDO, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, saying, “Working with such an iconic portfolio of brands offers endless potential for culturally impactful work. We’re excited to begin this journey.”

The new partnership has already commenced, with campaign work scheduled to launch in early 2025.
