Himanshu Ratnoo Steps Down as CEO – India at CARS24 After Leadership Stint
Himanshu Ratnoo steps down as CEO – India at CARS24 after several years leading the company’s operations in the used-car marketplace.
Himanshu Ratnoo has stepped down from his role as CEO – India at CARS24, bringing his leadership tenure at the online used-car marketplace to a close. Ratnoo had been associated with the company for several years and played a significant role in strengthening its India operations during a period of rapid growth in the digital automotive marketplace.
During his time at CARS24, Ratnoo worked across operational and strategic areas of the business, contributing to the company’s expansion in the used-car trading ecosystem. Before being elevated to the role of CEO – India, he served as Vice President at the company, where he helped drive operational growth and strategic initiatives across the marketplace platform.
CARS24 has emerged as one of India’s prominent digital platforms for buying and selling used vehicles, operating in multiple markets and leveraging technology to simplify vehicle transactions. Leadership roles in such platforms often involve balancing marketplace liquidity, logistics infrastructure, dealer relationships, and customer experience while scaling operations across regions.
Ratnoo’s exit comes at a time when India’s used-car ecosystem continues to evolve rapidly. The sector has witnessed growing digital adoption as consumers increasingly rely on online platforms for vehicle discovery, price comparisons, and transaction facilitation. Marketplaces such as CARS24 have played a role in reshaping how used vehicles are bought and sold by introducing digital auctions, doorstep inspections, and logistics-enabled delivery models.
Prior to joining CARS24, Ratnoo held leadership positions at BlackBuck, a logistics technology platform focused on freight and trucking services. At BlackBuck, he worked on strategy, investor relations, and business expansion initiatives, including leading the SME business segment. His role involved developing growth strategies and supporting the company’s efforts to scale its logistics marketplace.
Earlier in his career, Ratnoo served as Vice President – Head of Logistics at foodpanda, where he worked on building and scaling hyperlocal logistics operations in India. During that period, food delivery platforms were expanding rapidly, requiring companies to build reliable last-mile networks capable of supporting high-frequency orders and fast delivery timelines.
Ratnoo also spent time at Rocket Internet SE, where he led logistics and last-mile delivery initiatives across multiple Southeast Asian markets. His work there involved operational leadership across emerging e-commerce ventures, focusing on building logistics capabilities that could support marketplace scale.
Across these roles, Ratnoo built experience in logistics-heavy digital businesses, particularly in sectors where technology platforms intersect with complex physical operations. His career spans industries including e-commerce, logistics, mobility, and online marketplaces—segments where operational efficiency and supply chain management play a central role in growth.
Leadership changes in technology-driven marketplaces often reflect shifts in strategic direction, scaling priorities, or organisational restructuring as companies move through different growth stages. While the company has not publicly detailed the next steps following Ratnoo’s departure, transitions in executive leadership can influence how businesses approach expansion, partnerships, and operational focus.
Ratnoo’s departure marks the end of a chapter in CARS24’s India leadership as the platform continues to operate in a competitive digital automotive ecosystem.
