Bard, a Google AI experiment, has been assisting people in exploring their curiosity, augmenting their creativity, and finally getting their ideas off the ground – not just by answering questions, but also by assisting users in building on them. Google has been adding new features and capabilities to Bard since its inception as an early experiment in March, and the firm unveiled Bard's largest expansion to far today.

Bard is currently available in the majority of the world's major languages. Beginning today, Bard will be available in over 40 languages, including nine Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, and Urdu. Google has also increased Bard's reach to new countries, including Brazil and Europe. Google has proactively worked with experts, legislators, and privacy regulators on this expansion as part of its bold and ethical approach to AI. As it expands Bard to additional countries, Google continues to employ its AI Principles as a guide, incorporate user feedback, and take measures to preserve people's privacy and data.

Google is also introducing additional tools to enable users to better customize their experience, improve their creativity, and get more done, such as adding images to Prompts, listening to Bard's responses aloud, and simply changing Bard's response length.

Google offers new options to pin and label chats with Bard in over 40 languages to help users increase their productivity. When users start a conversation, they will now have choices in the sidebar to pin, rename, and pick up recent talks. Google has also made it easy for users to share a portion of all of their Bard chat with their network. Users can share their thoughts and work with others in over 40 languages by using shareable links.

Google is integrating Google Lens capabilities into Bard. Users may now upload photographs with prompts and Bard will analyze the photo to aid them, in whether they want more information about an image or need help coming up with a caption. This function is currently only available in English (US), but it will be made available in other languages in the near future. Google transferred Bard to PaLM 2, a much more capable huge server language model, in May, enabling many of its latest advances, such as improved math and reasoning skills and coding ability. Coding has quickly become one of the most popular activities with Bard in recent weeks. Google Colab users can now export Python code to Replit in addition to Google Colab, according to a new functionality provided today by Google. This feature is currently available in more than 40 languages.
