WPP Media emerged as India’s leading media group for new business during the first quarter of 2026, according to latest reports.
The network secured the highest billings among all media agency groups tracked during the period, underlining its strong momentum in a competitive advertising market.
WPP Media was the industry leader in new business activity for the first quarter of 2026 with total billings of $178.8 million.

Client Wins:
The performance was driven by a combination of new client wins and successful account retentions across a broad spectrum of industries. WPP Media logged 11 total account moves during the quarter, including seven new business wins and four client retentions.
The agency group’s new business came from categories such as automobile, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), hospitality, pharmaceuticals and real estate- a testament to its diverse client roster and presence across several categories.
Key brands in the business gains during Q1 for WPP Media included Reckitt, JSW Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, Godrej Properties, Nothing Technology, Airbnb, Red Bull, Valvoline, Agilus and Alkem Laboratories.

The network not only added new mandates but also showed strong client retention. During the quarter, WPP Media retained four accounts, with a retention rate of 74%, or billings of $179 million.
The combination of fresh business wins and continued client relationships played a major role in strengthening the network’s overall performance.
The latest figures highlight the importance of client retention alongside new business acquisition in driving agency growth. With significant billings from both new and retained accounts, WPP Media delivered the strongest overall performance among the media groups evaluated in the Q1 2026 report.
