Puma video uproar: Key details on the campaign controversy

In a recent online uproar, a 2023 campaign video by Puma for the World Cup, titled '#PUMADive,' has become a focal point of discussion.

The controversy ignited when Karthik Srinivasan, a communications consultant, shared the campaign's case study on his LinkedIn profile. Allegedly, soon after posting, Puma contacted him, requesting the removal of the video, stating it was intended for internal discussions, not public consumption. Despite Puma's claim, Srinivasan pointed out that the same video had been shared by Anna Tomasetti, Creative Community Manager APACMEA at Publicis Groupe, on her personal LinkedIn account on March 5. Srinivasan asserted that Tomasetti's post had gone viral, accumulating over 3,000 reactions.

Sources within Leo Burnett, however, informed e4m that the video did not originate from any official Leo Burnett accounts but was shared by Tomasetti on her personal account. Subsequently, Tomasetti has removed the video from her profile. The conflicting claims and the subsequent removals have sparked speculation and raised questions surrounding the true nature of Puma's campaign video.
