Prime Video joins forces with the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor to help start-ups

Prime Video has collaborated with the Government of India's Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to launch Mission Start Ab, a first-of-its-kind series that will highlight India's grassroots innovators as they accelerate their business growth.

The seven-episode series will follow these promising entrepreneurs as they face a number of difficulties in the pursuit of developing their businesses and gaining investment for their initiatives, with a focus on scaling made-in-India technologies with the potential to affect socioeconomic change.

Mission Start Ab is a new series that will immerse viewers in the power of human stories at the heart of every successful Indian start-up. It will recognize and reward ingenious and audacious entrepreneurs with the capacity to grow and scale their firms, as well as provide three of the most prolific investors with the opportunity to invest in them.

The series promises to engage viewers with stories about these unusual Indian start-ups and founders, their humble beginnings, never-say-die mentality, and the sacrifices they have made to make their goals a reality.

"I am delighted to announce Prime Video's reality series Mission Start Ab, which celebrates the remarkable spirit of India's grassroots innovators." "This captivating series will serve as a powerful platform, showcasing the inspiring stories of those driving social change through innovation," stated Ajay Kumar Sood, Government of India's Principal Scientific Adviser. "I am optimistic that it will provide enormous learning opportunities to India's grassroots innovators, providing valuable insights into sustainable start-up practices and attracting the right investors." Furthermore, the series promises to delight viewers while encouraging the expansion of our country's grassroots innovation ecosystem."

"At Prime Video, our mission has always been to be a force for good and an enabler of India's economy, both directly and indirectly." "We are incredibly proud to collaborate with the Office of the PSA, Government of India, to bring Mission Start Ab, a groundbreaking series, to life," said Sushant Sreeram, Country Director, Prime Video, India.

"This collaboration between the Office of the PSA, the Government of India, and Prime Video is another step forward in the journey that began earlier this year with Amazon India signing a Letter of Engagement (LoE) with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) with the goal of contributing to the growth of India's creative economy." This high-profile relationship illustrates our dedication to the country and our viewers as we develop new formats that assist entrepreneurs, inventors, and creators in broadening their horizons through our service. Our goal with Mission Start Ab is to not only spotlight grassroots innovations taking place across the country, but also to spark the hopes of many young Indians by charting the path of some of India's most innovative brains."

"One of Amazon's focus areas in India has been supporting and nurturing entrepreneurs." We have launched a variety of initiatives throughout the years to help India's start-up ecosystem. "Today, we are excited to announce this Amazon Original show on Prime Video in collaboration with the Government of India's Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser," said Chetan Krishnaswamy, Vice President for Public Policy at Amazon India. "We believe that this show will inspire many people to pursue entrepreneurship and help to advance the government's 'Start-up India' initiative."

Alia Bhatt, who wears many hats - that of a popular actor, a successful entrepreneur, and an investor - was also present at the event to discuss her entrepreneurial career. "While there are many great ideas and ambitious young founders around us," she added, "it takes a special kind of determination to turn that idea into reality, build the right team, find the right mentors, raise funding, and create something from nothing." I thank the Office of the PSA, the Government of India, and Prime Video India for launching Mission Start Ab to encourage and empower entrepreneurs, which I believe will have a far-reaching impact on the country's developing start-up ecosystem."
