On Global Hand Hygiene Day, the Savlon Swasth India Mission, in collaboration with Ogilvy India, showcased the significance of hand cleanliness. They depicted the constant interactions and germ transfers that happen throughout the day to emphasize the need for handwashing.

Their campaign portrayed the transformation of hand identity, symbolizing the daily encounters and advocating handwashing as a habitual practice. The infusion of humor in delivering this Public Interest message adds charm and encourages immediate action.

Sameer Satpathy, Divisional Chief Executive of Personal Care Products Business at ITC Limited, expressed, “The Savlon Swasth India Mission stands as one of our longest-running initiatives, and it's also one of the largest school programs focused on hand hygiene. Since its inception, our aim has been to instill a behavioral change toward hand hygiene and to find innovative ways to engage, educate, and empower everyone to adopt the habit of washing hands with soap or handwash. The film released on Global Hand Hygiene Day is a humorous conversation reaffirming the importance of hand hygiene and reiterating our commitment to education and the adoption of handwashing.”

Kainaz Karmakar and Harshad Rajadhyaksha, Chief Creative Officers at Ogilvy India, added, “Over the years, we have crafted meaningful and impactful messaging for the Savlon Swasth India Mission. As part of this ongoing effort, the film serves as a disruptive and memorable way to raise awareness about this insightful truth, with the hope of influencing positive handwashing behavior.
