Uber Launches Subscription Service 'Uber One' in India
Uber launches Uber One in India, offering subscription plans with benefits like Uber Credits and Zomato Gold.
In a move aimed at boosting customer loyalty and enhancing user experience, Uber has introduced its subscription service, Uber One, in India. The service offers a range of benefits designed to attract frequent users of the platform, making rides and food deliveries more affordable and convenient.
Subscribers to Uber One can choose from monthly, quarterly, or annual plans. One of the key highlights of the service is the ability to earn Uber Credits of up to Rs 150 per trip, which can be redeemed across rides and delivery services. Additionally, users will receive a three-month Zomato Gold membership, providing discounts on dining and food delivery through one of India’s leading food platforms.
The launch of Uber One is part of the company's broader strategy to solidify its presence in India’s competitive ride-hailing and food delivery market. By offering exclusive benefits such as priority customer support and reduced delivery fees on Uber Eats, the company aims to attract more loyal users and improve customer retention.
Alongside the subscription service, Uber has also implemented new safety features for its driver-partners. Drivers now have the option to select ride requests based on passenger gender, a feature designed to improve safety and comfort. Additionally, drivers can record audio during trips, adding another layer of security for both themselves and their passengers. The company has also introduced instant cashouts, allowing drivers to access their earnings immediately after completing trips, offering greater financial flexibility.
With Uber One, the company hopes to provide a more personalized and rewarding experience for both riders and drivers, further cementing its position as a leader in the Indian mobility and delivery market.
