Jio Studios Unveils New Logo, Embracing Cultural Storytelling and Global Impact
Jio Studios’ new logo celebrates Indian culture and showcases a global vision, symbolizing the studio’s mission to share Indian storytelling with the world.
In a symbolic celebration of Indian culture and global ambition, Jio Studios has introduced a new moving logo that reflects its commitment to bringing authentic Indian stories to audiences around the world. Launched this Diwali alongside the premiere of Singham Again, the fresh logo signifies Jio Studios’ ambition to establish a stronger global presence while honoring its cultural roots.
Since its founding in 2018, Jio Studios has quickly made a name for itself in India’s entertainment landscape. Over the years, the studio has produced more than 100 films and series, showcasing the depth and diversity of Indian storytelling. In 2024 alone, Jio Studios achieved a remarkable 100% success rate with blockbuster releases like Stree 2 and Laapata Ladies (Lost Ladies), the latter of which was selected as India’s official Oscar entry. Such achievements have highlighted Jio Studios as a powerhouse in both domestic and international markets.
This year has seen unprecedented momentum for the studio, with hit titles like Article 370 and Shaitaan receiving widespread acclaim. The recent release of Singham Again has marked the second-largest opening of the year, adding to Jio Studios’ list of 2024 successes. According to Jyoti Deshpande, president of media and content business at Reliance Industries, “2024 has been an incredible year for Jio Studios with back-to-back box office hits and critical acclaim alike.” Deshpande also highlighted that the new logo captures the studio’s mission to “Make in India, Show the World,” showcasing the brand’s emphasis on purity of ideas and authentic storytelling.
The logo animation itself is a journey of transformation. It begins with a single spark from a ball of energy, representing the genesis of an idea. This spark ignites a stunning display of mandala patterns, a powerful symbol of harmony and unity in Indian culture. The mandala’s intricate designs incorporate Indian musical notes and references to Indian languages, merging to form a golden lotus—a revered symbol of purity and enlightenment. As the lotus opens, it reveals the full mandala design, with the Jio logo at its heart. The animation’s crescendo is paired with the sound of a sitar, underscoring the connection to Indian heritage.
Deshpande further explained the importance of the new logo, stating that “a moving logo is an emotion; it embodies our brand values and captures our vision.” She added that the design reflects Jio Studios’ commitment to celebrating Indianness and using it as a foundation for stories that resonate globally. This visual identity aims to bridge Indian storytelling with the global stage, highlighting Jio Studios’ resolve to push creative boundaries.
Jio Studios' new logo is more than a visual change; it’s a symbol of growth, cultural pride, and ambition. Through this rebranding, Jio Studios aims to cement its role as a pioneer in Indian cinema, dedicated to sharing uniquely Indian narratives with audiences across borders. By fusing tradition with innovation, Jio Studios continues to honor its roots while inspiring the world with its authentic storytelling.
