Actor Pankaj Tripathi joins NPCI's 'Main Moorkh Nahi Hoon' campaign to educate the public about common UPI scam tactics and encourage digital safety.
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched a new awareness campaign, "Main Moorkh Nahi Hoon", to educate the public about common tactics used by scammers to exploit UPI users. The campaign features renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi, who will star in a series of six ad films highlighting various scam techniques.
The campaign aims to empower users to recognize and avoid common scams such as phishing and fraudulent online schemes. The films will be released in 11 Indian languages to reach a wider audience and create a significant impact.
"As India embraces digital payments, it's crucial to equip our citizens with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves from online threats," said Dilip Asbe, Managing Director and CEO of NPCI. "This campaign will help users stay informed and make safe digital transactions."
Piyush Pandey, Chief Advisor at Ogilvy India, emphasized the importance of common sense in combating scams. "The campaign celebrates the intelligence of the common man and encourages everyone to be vigilant and protect themselves from fraudsters," he said.
By raising awareness about these scams, the "Main Moorkh Nahi Hoon" campaign aims to reduce incidents of fraud and build trust in digital payment services. NPCI hopes that this initiative will contribute to a safer and more secure digital India.
