Google is launching an exciting new ad campaign titled Google Shopping ka Mela, which beautifully captures the essence of Diwali festivities through a vibrant virtual marketplace experience. In a world where digital shopping has become second nature, Google Shopping stands out for its streamlined experience that simplifies product discovery and purchasing. The platform efficiently searches the internet to find the best deals on top brands, providing users with a comprehensive view all in one place.

Created by Lowe Lintas, this campaign highlights Google Shopping’s unique features, allowing users to customize their shopping experience using tools like the price slider, various filters, and personalized suggestions. The intuitive interface taps into the broader Google ecosystem, enabling seamless shopping experiences that include using Google Maps to locate nearby stores and Google Pay for quick, secure payments.

The campaign reimagines Google Shopping as a virtual Diwali mela, inviting shoppers to explore exciting offers while helping them find exactly what they are looking for through thoughtfully designed filters. The tagline encapsulates this journey perfectly: “Yaha Kho Jaoge to Sab Paoge” (Lose yourself here, to find whatever you desire).

The film opens with renowned actress Farida Jalal, portraying a loving dadi (grandmother) who shares cherished memories with her poti (granddaughter), Sana. She reminisces about purchasing her beloved juttis (traditional slip-on shoes) at a Diwali Mela during her youth. Now too old to shop in person, Sana introduces her to the mela of online shopping using Google.

As they embark on their search for the jutti in the Google search bar, the Google Shopping experience transforms into a whimsical carnival that mirrors the familiar Google interface. Their journey takes them through a dazzling array of juttis, quickly narrowing down to the perfect pair. Ultimately, they discover that the bond and memories they create are even more valuable than the jutti itself.
