Apple’s New Mac Ad Turns Study Struggles Into Smarts
Apple’s latest Mac ad shows how AI tools and MacBook Air help Indian students turn study challenges into smart solutions.

Apple’s “Lessons” Campaign: Smarter Study for Every Student
Apple has launched its latest Mac campaign for college students in India, titled “Lessons,” just in time for the back-to-school season. This new film is a follow-up to last year’s “Work Is Worth It” campaign and aims to show how Apple’s latest technology can transform the way students learn, study, and create.
Real Student Life, Real Challenges
Directed by Ayappa, the ad paints a raw and unfiltered picture of student life in India. Instead of showing perfect study sessions, the film captures the real struggles students face—late-night cramming, endless notes, and the pressure to keep up. The soundtrack, an original composition by Sofyann Ben Youseff, uses voice samples of traditional advice that students often hear from parents and teachers, making the film relatable and emotionally engaging.
How Mac and Apple Intelligence Make a Difference
The heart of the campaign is how Apple’s technology helps students overcome these everyday hurdles:
- Writing Tools with Apple Intelligence:
The Summarise feature in Writing Tools, powered by Apple Intelligence, helps a student condense pages of notes into a single, clear bullet point. This not only saves time but also prevents those dreaded all-nighters in the library. - MacBook Air with M4 Chip:
Another student is shown using the new MacBook Air with the powerful M4 chip to multitask effortlessly. Whether it’s running heavy engineering apps like AutoCAD, MATLAB, or Xcode, the MacBook Air keeps up with the demands of modern college life. - Apple Intelligence Across Devices:
Apple Intelligence isn’t just for Macs—it’s built into iPhone, iPad, and even Apple Vision Pro, allowing students to write, communicate, and complete tasks with privacy and security in mind.
AI Features That Go Beyond the Classroom
Apple’s campaign doesn’t stop at study tools. The company recently released a film called “Hands On with Apple Intelligence” to showcase new AI-powered features:
- Clean Up Tool in Photos:
Remove unwanted objects or people from images with a single click. - Genmoji and Image Playground:
Create personalized emojis and generate images quickly and easily. - Summarise in Mail:
Catch up on long email threads and understand complex messages in seconds. - Visual Intelligence:
Use your iPhone camera to identify objects and surroundings. - ChatGPT Integration:
Access ChatGPT directly through Siri and Writing Tools, making research and writing even easier.
These features are available on the latest Apple devices, including iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 series, iPad and Mac with M1 or newer chips, and Apple Vision Pro, with more compatibility coming soon.
Campaign Reach and Creative Team
The “Lessons” campaign is airing across broadcast, digital, and social channels throughout the summer back-to-school period. The creative work comes from TBWA\Media Arts Lab APAC (India), with cinematography by Carlos Feher and Toni Vidal Llorens.
Why This Campaign Matters
Apple’s new ad stands out because it speaks directly to the real experiences of Indian students. By focusing on genuine struggles and showing how technology can turn those struggles into smart solutions, Apple connects emotionally with its audience. The campaign also highlights the growing role of AI in education, making advanced tools accessible and easy to use for everyone.
