Zepto To Launch Dedicated App For 10-Minute Cafe Deliveries
Zepto is launching a dedicated app for its 10-minute food delivery service, Zepto Cafe. The app promises improved user experience and business expansion.
Zepto, the rapidly growing quick commerce company, is set to unveil a dedicated app for its highly popular Zepto Cafe, a service offering 10-minute food delivery. Co-founder and CEO Aadit Palicha shared the exciting development on LinkedIn, confirming the launch of the new app next week. This move comes as Zepto Cafe continues to scale, with the company announcing an impressive rate of over 100 new cafes opening each month and 30,000 orders per day being placed.
Zepto Cafe, which is a significant part of Zepto's operations, was officially launched nationwide in November 2024. The company has already achieved a remarkable annualised revenue run rate (ARR) of Rs 160 crore, with ambitious plans to grow that number to Rs 1,000 crore by 2026. The new app is set to enhance the speed and convenience of this delivery service, enabling users to experience rapid food delivery at their fingertips.
Aadit Palicha, in his announcement, shared that the Zepto Cafe app will likely start as a minimal viable product (MVP) rather than a fully developed version. He stressed the company’s commitment to iterative development, ensuring that the app will continue to improve based on feedback and performance. As the app is rolled out, it will serve as the dedicated platform for Zepto's food delivery operations, streamlining the experience for users and providing them access to their favourite foods in record time.
The announcement also highlights Zepto's significant expansion in the food delivery sector. In a short span, Zepto Cafe has become a crucial part of the company’s business model. The quick delivery service is gaining popularity among customers, with a large portion of Zepto’s success attributed to its ability to deliver food within 10 minutes, setting it apart from other food delivery services.
While the new app is generating excitement, Zepto has also made headlines recently with some internal changes. Media reports revealed that Martin Dinesh Gomez, Zepto’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), has resigned. In light of his departure, Aadit Palicha will temporarily oversee select HR functions. Additionally, Chandan Mendiratta, Zepto's Chief Brand Officer, will step into the newly created role of Chief Culture Officer, overseeing other HR duties to maintain the company’s culture as it continues to scale.
The launch of the dedicated app for Zepto Cafe reflects the company’s continued focus on enhancing user experience and expanding its presence in the quick commerce space. As Zepto Cafe continues to grow, its dedication to providing rapid and reliable food delivery is expected to make a lasting impact on the food service industry in India.
