Takeshi Sano Promoted to Deputy Global COO at Dentsu

Takeshi Sano, who has been serving as the CEO of Dentsu Japan since 2024, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Global COO. Sano shared the news on LinkedIn, expressing his excitement: "I would like to share my appointment to the position of Deputy Global COO."

Sano's journey with Dentsu began in 1992, marking over three decades of dedication to the organization. His career flourished in the Business Produce divisions, where he became Managing Director in 2017. In 2021, he was appointed Executive Officer of Dentsu Inc., a role that set the stage for further leadership responsibilities.

In 2022, Sano took on critical roles as Executive Officer overseeing Business Transformation (BX) and Digital Transformation (DX) consulting services. He also served as Growth Officer at Dentsu Japan Network and Senior Executive Officer in charge of Business Produce divisions at Dentsu Inc. These roles positioned him as a key figure in Dentsu’s transformation and growth strategy.
