WhatsApp and OML Collaborate to Raise Privacy Awareness Through Humor
WhatsApp partners with OML for #MessagePrivately, featuring a social series with comedians to raise awareness about privacy, blending humor with the importance of secure communication
WhatsApp has teamed up with Only Much Louder (OML), a creative entertainment network, to launch #MessagePrivately, a campaign focused on educating users about the significance of privacy. The partnership emphasizes how vital it is to protect digital conversations while encouraging fun and engaging communication on the platform.
As part of the campaign, the duo unveiled the social series WhatsApp GoodMornings, featuring popular comedians like Zakir Khan, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Aakash Gupta, and Gurleen Pannu. Through this light-hearted series, these artists share personal anecdotes and playful moments centered around ‘Good Morning’ messages from family and friends on WhatsApp.
Pankaj Malani, Senior Vice President of Revenue at OML, explained the motivation behind the series:
“The team at OML Studios aimed to merge humor with purpose. We wanted to highlight how WhatsApp protects users' private conversations from unwanted interference while leveraging the personal significance of 'Good Morning' messages. Each episode resonates with warmth, humor, and the message of digital safety, ensuring people connect securely.”
Vyom Prashant, Director of Consumer Marketing at Meta, also commented on the initiative:
“Privacy is integral to WhatsApp. We've introduced multiple layers of security to help users feel confident while engaging on the platform. The Good Morning concept is familiar to millions in India, and this campaign, created with OML, uses humor to demonstrate how simple it is to guard against spam and scams.”
Through this campaign, WhatsApp continues to solidify its commitment to both security and user enjoyment, ensuring every conversation, whether personal or with businesses, remains safe and private.
