Meta's Twitter competitor 'Threads' is expected to launch on Thursday
Users' Instagram profiles will be linked to the platform.
According to media sources, Facebook owner Meta has stated that its Twitter rival 'Threads' will go live on Thursday, July 6. The app is currently available for pre-order on the Apple Store. Users' Instagram profiles will be linked to the platform.
The "text-based conversation app" will work similarly to Twitter, with text-based posts that can be responded to. Users can build communities around specific areas of interest. They can follow and engage with their favorite creators and other like-minded individuals.
The app's announcement follows an alleged "cage match" between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter owner Elon Musk.
