In partnership with IRCTC, Cadbury Celebrations launches the #CadburyCelebrationsConfirmedTicket campaign, aimed at helping people secure tickets and bringing families together for Diwali.

As Diwali approaches, home becomes the season’s destination. However, the journey home often encounters ticket hurdles—either high costs or long waiting lists. Recognizing this, brands have increasingly sought ways to bridge the distance for families, and Cadbury Celebrations is leading the way this year.

Campaign Concept and Collaboration
Conceived by Ogilvy, the campaign was inspired by real-life struggles faced by people in securing tickets during peak travel days. Sukesh Nayak, Ogilvy Mumbai’s Chief Creative Officer, shared, “This campaign emerged from collaborative insights, focusing on Diwali as a time for togetherness.” Nayak’s team, led by Krishna, worked closely with IRCTC to make this idea a reality.

Ticketing Through Cadbury
Each Cadbury Celebrations box now includes a QR code. When scanned, it prompts users to enter their journey details and reason for travel home. Winners are chosen through a lottery-based system to receive confirmed travel assistance. “It adds meaning to gifting, creating a heartfelt connection,” Nayak explained.

Campaign Reach and Future Prospects
The campaign will prioritize high-demand routes, maximizing travel opportunities. Nayak expressed optimism about future brand-government partnerships, saying, “There’s immense potential in such collaborations.” The campaign, predominantly featured on digital platforms, will also explore train branding for a memorable touch.
