Burger King's Barbie meal is the scariest marketing collab we've seen

Barbie's movie is out next week, and Barbiecore is everywhere... even at Burger King. At least in Brazil, where it has painted its storefronts and logo and is selling a Barbie meal that includes a cheeseburger with bacon pieces and smokey pink sauce, a pink milkshake, and, of course, a doughnut.

However, the lunch is proving contentious. While some die-hard Barbie fans are overjoyed, I can't help but believe the color is much scarier than the Grimace Shake, and we've all seen the viral Grimace TikTok movement.

No, it's not a sham advertising like the Maybelline ads you see on London's tube. This oddly colored meal combination delivered on Burger King Brazil's Twitter and TikTok by a worker wearing stiletto pink heels and a Burger King polo is real. Before Warner Bros.' Barbie film debuts on July 20, we saw the release of a slew of Barbie goods, but the BK Barbie Combo is without a doubt the scariest.

Sure, the meal could be construed as a witty commentary on the characters in the film (the 'vanilla' milkshake is artificially flavored with strawberry Nesquik powder, and the side order of 'Ken's potatoes' is just regular fries, because 'he's just Ken'). But does anyone find pink sauce on a burger appealing?
