The ASCI Academy, the educational wing of the Advertising Standards Council of India, has unveiled Hindi versions of its flagship e-learning courses, The ASCI Guide to Responsible Advertising and The Responsible Influencing Playbook. Originally introduced in English in April 2024, these courses aim to empower advertisers, marketers, and influencers by fostering trustworthy branding while adhering to advertising regulations.
This initiative addresses the rising demand for industry-relevant training in Hindi, as many advertisements and influencer campaigns are crafted for Hindi-speaking audiences. By providing practical tools and real-life examples, these courses enable professionals to create impactful campaigns that are both engaging and compliant. Participants gain critical insights into avoiding misleading claims, adhering to advertising codes, and balancing creativity with responsibility.
Manisha Kapoor, CEO and secretary general of ASCI, emphasized the importance of the courses in safeguarding consumer interest. She noted that many violations stem from a lack of awareness, often leading to unintentional errors. Kapoor expressed that the introduction of the Hindi courses is a positive step toward equipping professionals and influencers who prefer learning in Hindi with the tools to build credible and compliant campaigns.
The ASCI Guide to Responsible Advertising helps advertisers, agencies, and marketers align their work with ASCI’s self-regulatory framework, preventing potential violations and strengthening brand reputation. Similarly, The Responsible Influencing Playbook provides influencers with essential knowledge about disclosure norms, authentic endorsements, and compliance with legal standards, ensuring transparency in the influencer marketing ecosystem.
