iQOO teams up with top Indian e-sports teams for exclusive partnership to enhance the gaming experience with iQOO 13, launching December 2024.
In an exciting development for the Indian e-Sports industry, iQOO, the high-performance smartphone brand of the vivo group, has announced a strategic partnership with six of India’s leading e-Sports teams and over 100 gamers. This collaboration is centered around the launch of iQOO’s flagship model, the iQOO 13, which will now serve as the exclusive device for these teams for the next six months.
The prominent e-Sports teams involved in the partnership include Team Revenant-Xspark, Team Orangutan, Team 8bit, Team Reckoning, Team iQOO SOUL, and Team Tamilas. As part of the deal, these teams will be officially branded as “iQOOxTeam_Name” across all tournaments, showcasing a unified front in competitive gaming.
This innovative partnership is designed to empower gamers by offering them the advanced capabilities of the iQOO 13, which boasts the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ensuring top-tier performance for competitive gaming. Over the next six months, the teams will use the iQOO 13 exclusively and provide valuable feedback on the device’s performance, which will be used to refine the device further and meet the specific needs of e-Sports players.
According to Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO, the company is committed to supporting the rapid growth of e-Sports in India. "We believe that iQOO has been a pioneer in helping shape India’s e-Sports scene, and this partnership marks the beginning of a deeper collaboration with top-tier teams. Much like how sports brands like Nike collaborate with athletes to optimize performance, we are doing the same for e-Sports players in India. The feedback we receive from these top gamers will help us ensure that the iQOO 13 is fine-tuned to meet the exact needs of competitive gaming."
iQOO’s efforts align with the growing popularity of e-Sports in India, which is expected to reach a market size of INR 220 billion by 2025. iQOO has already made significant contributions to the industry, including partnering with Krafton for BGMI tournaments and serving as the official gaming phone partner for the 19th Asian Games, where e-Sports was featured as a medal sport for the first time.
The iQOO 13’s cutting-edge features, such as advanced graphics processing and lightning-fast performance, are designed to give Indian gamers a competitive edge. As part of iQOO’s commitment to the e-Sports ecosystem, the company is working to help Indian players perform at an international level and contribute to the country’s dominance in global e-sports tournaments.
To celebrate the launch, iQOO is also offering exclusive pre-booking opportunities for the iQOO 13. It will be available for pre-order starting December 5, 2024, at 12 pm. The phone will officially go on sale from December 11, 2024, at vivo exclusive stores, the iQOO e-store, and Amazon.in. The device will also be available at other leading retail stores across India.
