Dell Technologies has unveiled its latest festive campaign, “Sweets,” positioning the PC as an essential tool for users. This initiative reinforces Dell’s dedication to fostering meaningful innovation and empowering customers through products featuring advanced technologies. By emphasizing the integration of AI, the campaign aims to spread joy this festive season and illustrate how technology can unlock opportunities in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The campaign film narrates the story of a young man who visits a sweet shop in search of a traditional Indian dessert, kheer. Upon his arrival, he discovers that the recipe for this cherished dish has been forgotten. Despite various patrons’ suggestions, no one can recall the precise ingredients. Determined to recover the lost recipe, the young man turns to Dell’s AI-powered Inspiron 14 Plus. Utilizing AI-driven insights, he reconstructs the recipe piece by piece, with a little assistance from his grandmother. In a touching conclusion, he shares the rediscovered delicacy with his new friends, making the festival even more memorable.
Announcing the campaign, Mayuri Saikia, Director of Marketing for Consumer and Small Business at Dell Technologies, India, stated, "The festive season in India evokes a sense of joy and nostalgia. Conceptualized and developed by VML, the campaign employs an omni-channel strategy, launching interactive videos across Dell's social media platforms today. It will be available in multiple languages, including Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi, and promoted on various platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Additionally, the campaign will be featured on Amazon and Spotify, as well as through media partnerships to maximize visibility and engagement. Dell is also collaborating with popular content creators and influencers to showcase the devices and highlight their applications. Furthermore, retail promotions and on-ground activations will occur in 35 cities and 60 locations nationwide.
