Zepto Launches New Year Gift Boxes to Delight Customers

To celebrate the New Year, Zepto has unveiled a gift box packed with a variety of snacks, skincare products, and exclusive items from its platform. Sponsored by Google Pay, the gift box is available to customers who place orders exceeding ₹500.

What’s Inside the Gift Box?

Each box contains a Google Pay voucher and personalized items tailored to user profiles. Customers have reported receiving:

  • Apsara pencils
  • Heritage cow ghee
  • Mama Earth moisturiser
  • L’Oréal Hyaluron hair care
  • Catch paneer masala
  • Diamond potato chips
    Other users received products like Vivel soapsMTR Poha MixNestlé Masala MilletsWildStone deodorantMother’s Tamarind Chutney, and Beanly Instant Coffee.

The box also includes a 2025 "Winning Tracker", featuring over 80 brand names listed on its reverse side, making it a unique addition to the gifting experience.

Gift Box Strategy: Building Consumer Engagement

Zepto's gift box initiative began in 2024 to commemorate the platform's third anniversary and has since become a cornerstone of its marketing strategy. These boxes allow brands to introduce new products while delighting customers.

Senior Brand Manager Simran Sachdeva highlighted in a LinkedIn post that Zepto’s marketing team executed this strategy throughout 2024. Since July 2024, Zepto launched over five seasonal gift boxes, including those for Raksha Bandhanpre-Diwali, and Christmas.

Gift boxes were also rolled out for Children’s Day and during the festive season under the name Chingari, enhancing consumer engagement and brand visibility.

Zepto’s Growth Amid Fierce Competition

As quick commerce continues to thrive, Zepto has leveraged unique strategies to differentiate itself. The platform recently surpassed ₹1,000 crore in annualized advertising revenue, translating to ₹83 crore per month, according to CEO and co-founder Aadit Palicha.

By innovating with marketing efforts like these gift boxes, Zepto is positioning itself as a leader in the competitive q-comm landscape.
