Spreading Awareness at Rath Yatra:
Sunfeast Marie Light leveraged the Puri Rath Yatra to reach out to thousands of devotees and families with the message, ‘Har Kiran Mein Chhupa Hai Vitamin D Ka Vardaan’.
As part of the initiative, Surya Sahayaks engaged with the visitors, helped them fill out a two minutes requirement of Vitamin D assessment and also distributed educational material on the importance of maintaining adequate Vitamin D levels.
The participants selected were also invited to free medical tests for Vitamin D, allowing the campaign to go beyond awareness and to promote preventative health action.
The brand also rolled out a WhatsApp-based assessment where consumers answered questions around sunlight exposure, outdoor habits and Vitamin D awareness to engage beyond the event.

Combining Culture and Health:
“Odisha has a historical connection with the Sun and it is the right place to start conversations about Vitamin D,” said Suraj Kathuria, Vice President and Head of Marketing, Biscuits, Foods Division, ITC Ltd, while speaking about the initiative.
“The campaign leverages technology, community engagement and the scale of Rath Yatra to help consumers understand their Vitamin D needs better and inspire healthy lifestyle habits such as spending time in the sun and including Sunfeast Marie Light with Vitamin D in their daily routine.”
