On World Toilet Day, Sirona, a leading feminine hygiene brand, unveiled its #EverybodyNeedsAPeeBuddy campaign to address the critical issue of clean public restrooms for women. Partnering with IntrCity, the campaign aims to empower women travelers across India by providing them with toilet hygiene essentials and highlighting the challenges they face in maintaining hygiene during travel.
The campaign’s centerpiece is a digital video that sheds light on the daily struggles women endure in finding clean and safe public toilets. These challenges often leave them with unhealthy options, such as avoiding hydration, holding in urine, or squatting over dirty toilet seats. Such practices increase the risk of infections, especially UTIs, making access to hygienic restrooms a pressing issue.
To tackle this, Sirona and IntrCity distributed PeeBuddy samples, India’s first female urination device with over 50 lakh units sold, along with disposable toilet seat covers, to female passengers across IntrCity’s extensive bus network. These products help women avoid direct contact with unsanitary toilet seats, ensuring better personal hygiene during their journeys.
Additionally, women at select IntrCity lounges received gift hampers featuring Sirona’s hygiene products, such as toilet sprays and biodegradable sanitary solutions, enhancing their travel experience. This initiative, which spans 5-7 days, emphasizes creating a cleaner, safer travel environment for women across the country.
