Paree Sanitary Pads Promotes Supportive Work Environments for Women in New Campaign
On Menstrual Hygiene Day, Paree Sanitary Pads, a homegrown feminine hygiene brand by Soothe Healthcare, unveiled its latest campaign, #EaseHerWorkFlow. This initiative is an extension of the #Pareevartan campaign, which has been dedicated to raising awareness, education, and empowerment regarding menstrual hygiene since last year.
The #EaseHerWorkFlow campaign advocates for creating supportive workplaces for women, highlighting the importance of #PeriodFriendlyWorkplaces. Despite some progress, menstrual health policies remain insufficient. CIPD research indicates that 49% of employees do not disclose menstrual-related absences to their managers, showing the persistent stigma around menstruation. Additionally, 67% of employers do not offer support for menstrual health. The campaign includes a film emphasizing the need for supportive measures and normalizing discussions about menstruation.
The campaign film underscores the necessity of ensuring a comfortable and dignified experience for women during menstruation, both socially and professionally. It calls for active participation and the implementation of supportive measures to respect and normalize menstruation. As part of this initiative, Paree Sanitary Pads has introduced a Period Work from Home Policy, enabling women to work from home during their menstrual cycles.
This policy recognizes the unique challenges women face and aims to provide them with the flexibility and support necessary to maintain their productivity and well-being. The #EaseHerWorkFlow campaign also highlights the crucial role men can play in supporting their female colleagues by fostering an inclusive and empathetic work environment, advocating for menstrual health policies, and normalizing conversations about menstruation. By understanding and supporting their female coworkers, men can contribute to creating a more equitable and supportive workplace.
Sahil Dharia, founder and CEO of Soothe Healthcare, remarked, "We are thrilled to launch the #EaseHerWorkFlow campaign on Menstrual Hygiene Day. Our objective is to normalize and support menstruation in every aspect of life, particularly in the workplace. This campaign urges society to take meaningful actions towards making menstruation a dignified experience for all women. By increasing awareness and enhancing education, we can build a society that truly understands and supports menstrual hygiene needs. We believe this initiative will pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable world for women."
Shruti Kapoor, head of marketing at Soothe Healthcare, added, "At Paree, we always strive to have genuine conversations around menstruation, which is reflected in our brand ethos and campaigns. With #EaseHerWorkFlow, we want to demonstrate how an empathetic and collaborative environment can help women succeed at work and how these small gestures can bring true #Pareevartan to the menstruation narrative."
