McDonald's India Launches Crispy Fried Chicken with Kannada Star Kiccha Sudeep

In a strategic move to bolster its fried chicken portfolio in the South Indian market, McDonald’s India (West & South), operated by Westlife Foodworld, has introduced its latest offering: Crispy Fried Chicken. To add excitement and a local flavor to the campaign, McDonald's has partnered with celebrated Kannada film star Kiccha Sudeep as the face of the "Let the Crunch Takeover" campaign.

The campaign, conceptualized by DDB Mudra Group, features a humorous TV commercial starring Kiccha Sudeep. The TVC highlights the irresistibly crispy texture of the new fried chicken. The ad opens with a playful scene where police officers interrogate Sudeep at his home, which looks slightly chaotic. As they ask if he remembers anything else, Sudeep is seen calmly enjoying a McDonald's Crispy Fried Chicken. A family member then jumps in, mentioning the “crunch sound” as they eat, leading to a humorous back-and-forth about the perfect "crunch" sound. The spot concludes with a close-up of the delectable Crispy Fried Chicken bucket.
