Sony Sports Network partners with Hockey India League for 3 years, offering multi-language broadcasts across India to expand the sport’s reach and boost fan engagement.
Sony Sports Network (SSN) has signed a three-year partnership to broadcast the Hockey India League (HIL), starting with the 2024-25 season. The league, featuring both men's and women's tournaments, is set to kick off on December 28, 2024, with matches being held in Rourkela and Ranchi.
The network will offer live telecasts across multiple channels, including Sony Sports Ten 1 (English), Sony Sports Ten 3 (Hindi), and Sony Sports Ten 4 (Tamil and Telugu), ensuring that fans from all regions can enjoy the action. The broadcasts will be available in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) formats, making the league accessible to a diverse and expansive audience.

Kaul further emphasized the importance of this partnership, highlighting how Sony's multi-channel, multi-language telecast will bring fans closer to the game. Sony Sports Ten 4, with its Tamil and Telugu broadcasts, is poised to extend the league’s reach to audiences in southern India, further enhancing its national appeal.
The governing committee of Hockey India League echoed similar enthusiasm. Dr. Dilip Tirkey, Chairperson of the HIL Governing Committee, shared, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Sony Sports Network for HIL 2024-25. Their extensive coverage will ensure that hockey reaches every corner of the country. This season will be bigger, better, and bolder, taking the excitement of Indian hockey to new heights.”
