Fujifilm India's Inspiring Film on Accessible Healthcare

FUJIFILM India has unveiled an inspiring brand film titled "Hero with an Endoscope" as part of its "Stories of More Smiles" series. This heartfelt narrative emphasizes the transformative impact of accessible healthcare in underserved regions. The film is based on the real-life story of Dr. Govindraj and the Endobus initiative, which brings advanced medical solutions to remote areas.

Shot in Tiruchirappalli and Kolli Hills, Tamil Nadu, the film was written and directed by Ranvir Kumar Suman, with production by Seaface Films. The two-day shoot involved over 70 people, a crew of 60, and was filmed across 12 locations using Fujifilm Fujinon Premista Cine lenses, adding cinematic brilliance to the storytelling.

The film highlights the Endobus, launched by K Shantha Foundation in December 2023, which is equipped with Fujifilm CAD EYE™ and advanced endoscopic systems. These innovations enable early detection of gastrointestinal diseases, saving countless lives. Through the lens of Gopal, a patient diagnosed during an Endobus healthcare camp, the narrative shows how timely intervention gave him a new lease on life.

Dr. K. Govindaraj, chairman and consultant gastroenterologist at Dr. G. Viswanathan Multi-Speciality Hospital, shared his thoughts on the project. "It was Wada-san’s idea to make a film on the Endobus, and I feel humbled. Philanthropy has always been part of my family tradition, and Gopal’s inspiring story deserves to be told," he said.

Koji Wada, managing director of FUJIFILM India, expressed his excitement, saying, “At FUJIFILM India, we strive to create innovative solutions that bring joy and smiles. This film highlights the life-changing power of early detection and underscores our mission to make healthcare accessible to all.”

Abhi Shekhar Singh, vertical head of corporate communications and CSR at FUJIFILM India, emphasized that empathy drives their storytelling. "This brand film coincides with the launch of our Group Purpose, 'Giving Our World More Smiles.' It reflects the shift from concept to reality, showcasing how we’re making a tangible difference. Gopal’s journey is a testament to the power of early detection and accessible healthcare,” he stated.

Ending with the message, “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours,” the film is a poignant reminder of how accessible healthcare initiatives like the Endobus can transform lives and create countless smiles.
