Zee Entertainment Appoints Sangeeta Shetty as Chief Compliance Officer & Company Secretary

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has announced the appointment of Sangeeta Shetty as its Chief Compliance Officer & Company Secretary, effective November 2, 2026. In her new leadership role, Sangeeta will focus on elevating the company's governance framework, maintaining regulatory compliance standards, and driving meaningful shareholder engagement as ZEE advances its long-term growth objectives.   

Sangeeta will operate out of the company’s headquarters in Mumbai and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Punit Goenka.   

Fortifying Governance and Strategic Value Creation

With over two decades of corporate secretarial and compliance experience across listed firms, capital market transactions, and board governance, Sangeeta brings deep institutional knowledge to ZEE's leadership team. Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership, she will embed robust internal controls and enterprise risk management practices designed to reinforce transparency, institutional resilience, and long-term stakeholder trust.

Proven Industry Track Record

Prior to joining ZEEL, Sangeeta was associated with Abbott India Limited. Her extensive background spans corporate leadership roles at prominent organizations, including Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Aditya Birla Money, Edelweiss Group, Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI), and Angel One.   

She succeeds Ashish Agarwal, who led the corporate secretarial function at ZEEL for over seven years and is moving on to pursue opportunities outside the organization.
