Unlocking a Global Trend: Instagram Rolls Out Global Reels Download Feature

In the United States, Instagram enabled users to download Reels from public accounts. That was in July, and the feature is now available to Instagram users worldwide. Who can download your reels is determined by your account's privacy settings, as expected.

Unless you change your reels download settings, anyone on Instagram can download and share your reels if you have a public account.

New reels you share after downloading will be available for download. Remember that downloaded reels will have an Instagram watermark. Downloaded reels are not permitted for commercial use. However, Instagram emphasizes that it has no control over what people do with reels after they download them.

Instagram users under the age of 18 with public accounts will have the option to download reels disabled by default, but it can be enabled at any time, according to a blog post published by Instagram.

Unless you change your account's privacy settings to public, no one on Instagram can download your reels if you have a private account.
