PUMA India Deepens Connection with Gen Z by Onboarding Promising Cricketers Riyan Parag and Nitish Kumar Reddy

PUMA India has taken a significant step to strengthen its bond with Gen Z consumers by bringing on board two of the country’s rising cricket stars, Riyan Parag and Nitish Kumar Reddy. This move highlights PUMA's commitment to nurturing young talent and reinforcing its connection with youth culture in India.

Riyan Parag, a 22-year-old right-hand batsman from Guwahati, has made remarkable progress in cricket. He stands as the highest run-scorer among uncapped players in the recent cricket league and was part of the victorious Indian Under-19 team at the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Nitish Kumar Reddy, a 21-year-old all-rounder from Andhra Pradesh, has also garnered attention by earning the Emerging Player title in the recent cricket league.

With their addition, Parag and Reddy will promote PUMA’s range of footwear, apparel, athleisure, and accessories through various events and initiatives.

According to the Instagram Trend Talk preview for 2024, nine out of ten Gen Z individuals in India consider themselves part of a fandom. The study also revealed that India has the highest percentage of sports superfans among Gen Z compared to any other country.
