Maruti Suzuki June Sales Rise 19.2% on Strong Domestic Demand, Export Growth

Maruti Suzuki India reported a 19.2% year-on-year rise in June 2026 vehicle sales to 200,390 units, driven by strong domestic demand, SUV sales and continued export growth.

Maruti Suzuki India’s total vehicle sales in June 2026 grew 19.2% year on year, supported by strong domestic demand and continued export growth.

The country’s largest carmaker sold 200,390 vehicles in the month, compared with 167,993 units in June 2025, according to a regulatory filing.

Domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales increased to 147,187 units from 118,906 units a year earlier. The company’s overall domestic sales, comprising passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles (LCV) and OEM supplies, increased to 157,622 units, from 130,151 units in the same month last year.

SUV Momentum:

Maruti Suzuki also delivered a strong show in the first quarter of FY27. Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 33.4% year-on-year to 525,228 units, underpinned by steady consumer demand for its model portfolio.

The automaker continued to expand its overseas business, with exports rising 13 percent on the year to 42,768 units in June. Exports for the April-June quarter of FY27 were at 124,736 vehicles compared to 96,972 units in the same period of the last fiscal.

Sales of entry-level models Alto and S-Presso combined stood at 11,416 units during the month in individual segments.

Its compact and mid-size portfolio comprising models including Baleno, Celerio, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR sold a total of 63,815 units.

Utility vehicles continued to be the company’s strongest growth segment. Sales of models like the Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Tour H1 and XL6 together rose to 61,726 units from 47,947 units in June 2025.

The company’s performance is underpinned by a sustained momentum in Maruti Suzuki’s SUV portfolio with increased domestic demand and steady growth in exports, helping the automaker maintain its leadership position in the passenger vehicle market in India.
