Mars has appointed Mahmoud Maghraby Media Director for the AMEA region, increasing his responsibilities to include Africa, Middle East and Asia.

The move was announced in a LinkedIn post by Maghraby, who said he was excited to be part of the wider leadership team in the company’s snacking business.

Maghraby's promotion is an expanded leadership role after almost five years with Mars.

Most recently, he was Media Director, Middle East and Africa and Global Emerging Markets, responsible for media strategy across India, Asia, Latin America and Australia.

Regional Media Leadership:

In this role he worked on media planning, strategic communication and regional brand integration initiatives across a number of international markets.

Maghraby will take on a new role overseeing media strategy and alignment across the broader AMEA region, the company said, as Mars continues to build stronger integration across its consumer brands and regional operations.

Prior to joining Mars, Maghraby held senior roles in the advertising and media industry.

He has also worked as Client Managing Director and Head of Strategy MENA for EssenceMediacom, overseeing strategic planning and client leadership responsibilities across the Middle East and North Africa region.

The appointment reflects the growing importance of integrated regional media leadership as multinational consumer brands continue expanding cross-market marketing operations, audience engagement strategies and digital media investments across emerging markets.
